Flatsome vs Hello

flatsome vs hello

Here we compare Flatsome vs Hello, two very contradictory themes. Hello, the default theme for the Elementor page builder, is completely free and Flatsome is a premium theme. Each of these themes is in turn very popular among WordPress users. Which theme do you prefer?

The Flatsome Theme

Flatsome is a WordPress theme that is totally specialized in E-commerce or building webshops. The theme works perfectly together with the Woocommerce plugin that is used by everyone today to create shops. This Flatsome Theme Review gives you a bird’s eye view of all its best features.

Flatsome Theme Review Studio

Apart from a single professional designer, there is really no one left who starts a website from scratch. Practically all themes (also free) offer a wide range of complete demo websites and many more prepared sections. The Flatsome theme is not left behind and now has 300+ pieces in its range. With no more than 1 click you can install such a design in your website and from there you start working on your own corporate identity. All you have to do is delete what you don’t want to use and replace the rest of the images and texts with your own.

Flatsome's Loading Speed

Flatsome has heavily improved the loading time of the theme with one of the latest upgrades. The alleged data shown in the image below seems a bit exaggerated to me and I have not checked. It is clear that the theme is fast. As you probably know, Google and visitors place great value on fast-loading websites.

Flatsome's UX Page Builder

The UX page builder was invented by the builders of Flatsome. And although it may not be the DiviBuilder or Elementor, this page builder works great and you will definitely like it. Watch the video below to understand a bit more about the UX Builder.

Woocommerce Features

Flatsome is a real Woocommerce theme and is full of professional gadgets that make every webshop a success. I can’t show everything in this Flatsome Theme review, those features below are just a part. If you like to see them all, check out Flatsome’s own website.

Woocommerce Product Pages

Flatsome comes with beautifull pre-designed product pages. With Flatsome it is also possible to use different styles with different products, as many as you want. There are few themes that offer such a wide range of Woocommerce pages, this feature is very nice.

Flatsome Shape Dividers

Divi was the first with Shape Dividers, then Elementor I think, now they all come with it and so is Flatsome. The best are still Divi’s. Of course I have nothing against the Shape Dividers, they are wonderful toys with which you can create beautiful borders between sections.

Flatsome's Headers

An impressive feature in Flatsome is the number of different headers that the theme makes available. Aside from the standard headers, there is also a header builder that allows you to customize every little detail in your chosen header. Below you can see a number of these headers.

Flatsome Review Elements

The Flatsome theme comes with a nice number of widgets in its UX-Builder. I say a nice number because of course we cannot compare this with the huge range that an Elementor page builder has to offer. Below are the main widgets in the image.

Flatsome Theme Review Conclusion

During this Flatsome Theme review I showed you the most striking features for me. We can safely say that Flatsome is a great theme for creating webshops. This is what it was made for from the start. The fact that it is also a corporate theme was only added later and for such websites I would certainly prefer to use a theme like Divi or possibly another good theme with the Elementor page builder.

Let’s continue this Flatsome vs Hello Review with the Hello Theme.

The Hello Theme

I’m starting this Hello Elementor Theme review to indicate that Hello is a great theme and really delivers a fast-loading website. On the other hand, that is not so strange because there is practically nothing in it. The good thing is that Elementor itself can do a lot and certainly with the pro version. Let’s discuss point by point why you should or should not use the Hello Theme for your new website.

The Hello Theme now has more than a million active installations. Understandable because everything works perfectly if you use Hello as a basis to work with Elementor. Somehow, there are often people who give highly valued items only 1 star. I consider this group to be one that didn’t understand anything and probably does this with other themes as well.

Hello Theme Review Speed

Hello is as seen below even very fast without a cache plugin. We ran 2 speed tests on Hello on the GtMetrix website, the first without using the best cache plugin out there called WP-Rocket and the second with the plugin installed.

Hello Child Theme

Elementor Page Builder

It makes little sense to use Hello Elementor without the Elementor page builder. Hello serves as the basis for the all-round page builder. Elementor is used on more than 2 million WordPress websites and is steadily gaining popularity. Both the free and pro versions are just really good. The differences are in the number of widgets available, the use of templates and a wider range of demo websites and some other things. Buying the pro version is definitely recommended if you can spare $50.

This website was created with Elementor Pro and I really enjoy working with it. I also work with other page builders like the DiviBuilder but Elementor is one of my favorites.

Hello is the perfect Starter Theme

As mentioned before, after installing Hello you will see that there is really nothing left in your site. For example, there is no sidebar or header, there are no settings via the “Customizer”. That’s all there after you’ve installed Elementor, so don’t worry.

Hello Templates & Demo Library

Elementor provides you with a demo library with which you can install a complete demo website with one click. Depending on the version of Elementor you are using (free-pro-expert) you will have more and better designs available in the Kit Library. You also have access to templates.

So much more can be said about Elementor but I advise you to read on on the Elementor website or read my review for Elementor itself.

Hello Theme Review Conclusion

You have probably noticed in this Hello Elementor Theme Review that I am certainly enthusiastic about the theme, although there is practically nothing in it. For experienced people it is a great theme to have a super fast loading website. For laymen it is advisable to start with a good design that can be installed via the Template Kits in Elementor. If you prefer to work with a theme that is not entirely dependent on Elementor, but still works perfectly with it, just like Hello, then the Astra Theme is an absolute must.

Flatsome vs Hello Conclusion

It should be clear that we cannot compare Hello with a really good theme like Flatsome. Hello is not made for that either and the fair comparison is to involve Hello’s page builder. In that case, bidders are an excellent choice for building webshops. In case I need to build another type of site, I will 100% definitely choose Hello + Elementor.
