You refresh, scroll more, and it’s STILL showing you the same shit you saw yesterday! Your FYP isn’t updating with new content, and you’re stuck in some kind of loop…
What the fuck is going on? Everyone else is seeing fresh videos, but your FYP feels frozen in time, dude! This is one of the most frustrating TikTok issues, and I’m going to show you exactly how to reset it and get new content flowing again, motherfuckers!
CLEAR TIKTOK’S CACHE (FIRST THING TO TRY)
I’m not going to lie… a stale FYP is usually caused by corrupted cache data. TikTok stores information about what you’ve watched, and when this data gets messed up, the algorithm stops refreshing your feed properly, bet!
For Android – Go to Settings, then Apps, then TikTok. Tap Storage and hit Clear Cache (NOT Clear Data!). Restart TikTok.
For iPhone – Open TikTok, go to Profile, tap the three lines in the top right, then Settings and Privacy. Scroll to Cache & Cellular Data and tap Clear Cache. Close and reopen the app, for real!
This forces TikTok to rebuild your FYP recommendations from scratch. Check your feed now… you should start seeing new videos within minutes, no cap!
Interact Differently With Content
Your FYP stopped refreshing because TikTok thinks it knows exactly what you want, dude! You need to confuse the algorithm a bit to get new content. Sounds weird, but it works…
Watch videos you normally skip (different topics, creators, styles). Like and comment on completely different content than usual, bet! Use the Not Interested button on videos you keep seeing. Search for new topics and watch those videos completely, for real! Follow new creators outside your usual niche, no cap!
Do this for 10-15 minutes, and TikTok will start showing you fresh content. The algorithm adapts quickly once you give it new signals!
UPDATE TIKTOK TO THE LATEST VERSION
Outdated versions have bugs that can cause FYP refresh issues. If you haven’t updated in a while, that could be why your feed feels stale and repetitive, dude!
Android: Open Google Play Store, search TikTok, tap Update
iPhone: Open App Store, search TikTok, tap Update

Use the “Refresh” Feature Properly

LOG OUT AND LOG BACK IN

Before reinstalling, save your drafts (open each one, tap the three dots, then Save video). Remember your login credentials, no cap!
Then uninstall TikTok, restart your phone, reinstall from App Store or Google Play, log back in, and check your FYP, dude!
